Fine Ceramics and Great Deals at Mother Brook Art’s 5th Annual Pottery Studio SaleSaturday, September 13 | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 123 High Street, Dedham, MA(Rain date: Sunday, September 14)
Shoppers with an appreciation for handmade ceramics—and an eye for a bargain—are invited to the fifth annual Pottery Studio Sale at Mother Brook Arts and Community Center. Held in the front parking lot of the center, this event brings together more than 20 local artists offering a wide selection of ceramic work, ranging from finely crafted pieces to discounted seconds.
This popular event draws visitors from across Greater Boston and offers a rare opportunity to purchase work that isn’t typically available during the center’s Open Studios events, where most pieces are sold at full price.
In addition to ceramics, guests can enjoy live music from local band Abbott Road, create a custom floral arrangement at the Moon Gate Garden vintage flower truck, and take part in a hands-on natural dyeing activity with Falling off Trees. A community raffle and special Seconds Sale table will raise funds for a new pugmill to benefit the Karen O’Connell Ceramics Studio.
Among the participating artists are Dedham-based Olivia Rabe, known for her intricately detailed sculptures; Elissa Dunlap, a resident artist and instructor at Mother Brook who specializes in slipcast ceramics; and Lisa WB Walker, a ceramic artist and instructor celebrated for her creative use of color and special collections, and many other talented artists. and many other talented artists.
