How it's Made: Enjoy live demonstrations from our makers:
Watercolor Monotype — for Those Who Like Surprises
Saturday, December 6, 2:00 p.m.
Full Tilt Print Studio
Printmaker Roxane Hynek will demonstrate watercolor monotype. Making a watercolor monotype involves a one-of-a-kind printmaking process that uses watercolor paints and a printing press. The resulting colors can be brilliant but not always easy to predict as water and pigments interact on a non-absorbent surface and are then printed onto paper.
Collagraph Technique: Sculpture in Printmaking
Sunday, December 7, 2:00 p.m.
Full Tilt Print Studio
Printmaker Stina Hals will demonstrate collagraph printmaking. Collagraph is an innovative means of creating texture, pattern, and sculptural elements on printmaking plates made of plexiglass or cardboard. Printmakers employ items from around the house, such as hair combs, knives and other found objects, to sculpt designs and patterns on the plate and then run them through the press. Stop by and learn!
We're giving back to neighbors in need - will you join us?
