Workshop: Paper Work

  • Mother Brook Arts & Community Center - Studio 11 123 High Street Dedham, MA, 02026 United States (map)

Collage is a style of mixed media art that Sarah has been practicing since 2016. It’s a unique way to express mood, color, and storytelling, while building new relationships between art supplies and ephemera. In this one-night workshop, Sarah teaches her technique as a foundation for exploring the collage world.

Workshop highlights include: a brief history of collage: when it started, different collage movements, important terms, and notable artists; inspiration – photos of collage from everyday artists; and identifying and utilizing supplies.

Provided materials include: surfaces (loose paper or sketchbook), paper ephemera, art supplies (markers, colors pencils, ink, paint, brushes), scissors, adhesives
